
Curtis Midkiff

Curtis has nearly two decades of combined experience in marketing, communications and social/digital strategy. He is a highly regarded brand strategist and social media expert who has led the social engagement efforts for a range of organisations including Southwest Airlines, The American Red Cross and The Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and most recently at Kroger. His expertise has been featured in a range of media outlets including: Forbes.com, The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC.com, TheNextWeb.com, and Mashable.com.
Over the past decade, Curtis has developed and cultivated award-winning Influencer programs that leverage a mix of celebrities, subject matter experts and lifestyle influencers to generate results. Under his leadership, Southwest Airlines developed the Southwest Storytellers Program, a first of its kind influencer program in the travel industry. He has also been a strong advocate of increased diversity and inclusion in influencer engagement.
Curtis serves on the Advisory Board of the Smithsonian’s Anacostia Community Museum and the Mayor’s Smart City Tech Task Force in Seat Pleasant Maryland.
